About this Course

This course offers a deep dive into the complex interdisciplinary management of patients with Endo-Ortho challenges. Through the analysis of clinical cases and expert panel discussions, the program highlights the critical intersection between orthodontics and endodontics. The first part focuses on the diagnosis and management of External Cervical Resorption (ECR), a condition often misdiagnosed or detected too late. The second part explores the application of orthodontic forced extrusion as a conservative, pre-restorative strategy for managing complicated crown-root fractures in pediatric patients, emphasizing the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration to improve long-term tooth prognosis.

What will you learn?

• Why is External Cervical Resorption (ECR) difficult to diagnose early, and how can 3D imaging (CBCT) aid in its detection?
• What are the clinical implications and risks of applying orthodontic forces to teeth affected by ECR, and in which specific scenario might extrusion be beneficial?
• What are the key workflow principles and retention protocols for performing orthodontic forced extrusion following traumatic dental injuries in pediatric patients?
• How do new materials and regenerative endodontics influence the orthodontic management and prognosis of traumatized immature teeth?
