Prof. Eliades published 320 papers, 60 chapters, and edited 14 books, receiving 19,000 citations (h index 77-scholar). He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, the Institute of Physics, the Institute of Materials Minerals and Mining (UK), and the Royal College of Surgeons (Ed). He has been visiting professor at the King’s College London and the University of Adelaide, and adjunct professor at Boston University. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the Korean Journal of Orthodontics, has co-supervised and/or examined 50 master’s and doctoral theses at Universities in 8 countries, and taught his orthodontic biomaterials course to postgraduates of 20 Universities in 14 countries on 4 continents; he was the recipient of the 2024 EOS distinguished teacher award. He has contributed the first evidence on the xeno-estrogenicity of orthodontic polymers in 2008, whereas his research in in vivo ageing of orthodontic materials in 2000 paved the way for the emergence of the field of in vivo-ageing of dental biomaterials.
